A spring elopement at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s historic estate in the Berkshires, feels like stepping inside a love story. Lush green gardens, old stone architecture, soft spring light, and that romantic Wuthering Heights kind of atmosphere made this weekday styled elopement feel cinematic, intimate, and wildly inspiring.

Jhori and Caydon modeled for this styled elopement so I could continue learning, experimenting, and growing in my hybrid approach to storytelling: digital photography, video, 35mm film, and Super 8. The film and Super 8 have officially been shipped off to the lab, and I already cannot wait to see how this day comes back in that dreamy analog texture.

The Mount is such a beautiful place for couples dreaming of an intimate Berkshire elopement, weekday wedding, or romantic estate celebration in New England. Between the gardens, woodlands, architecture, and literary history of Edith Wharton’s home, it has that rare feeling of being both refined and a little untamed.

If you’re dreaming of a Berkshire elopement with photography, video, film, and Super 8 woven together into one complete story, I’d love to help you create something intentional, cinematic, and deeply felt.

A little introduction, but not the usual kind.

These are the things that shape how I see, how I move through the world, and how I document a day.

The couples who find me usually have a few of these in common too—wild places, a little woo, good food, deep connection, a little curiosity… and maybe a soft spot for film.

And lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how this all comes together in the way I document elopements—photo, film, Super 8, and video, all working together without turning the day into something staged.

If we share a few of these, you’re probably in the right place.

It felt like one of those days you don’t rush.

Blue skies.
Kids running around.
Everyone easing into it instead of waiting for the next thing.

No big entrance.
No timeline pressure.
Just a first look, quiet vows, and a ceremony that actually sounded like them.

Their boys close by the whole time… in and out of hugs, snacks, laughter.

And somehow the rain cleared—blue skies, soft clouds, that early spring air Connecticut does so well.

This is the kind of day I’m always dreaming about. Not performative. Not packed. Just lived in.

I don’t typically photograph traditional weddings… but this one never felt like one.

Stephanie and Mitchell kept it exactly how it needed to be—small, grounded, and centered around what actually matters to them.

I’ve known Stephanie for over a decade. I photographed her right after high school—the blue-haired girl with the brightest eyes and this energy you just don’t forget. So being here for this chapter… it hit a little deeper.

Their story started at Ace Hardware.
Stephanie driving her old Bronco, Mitchell noticing immediately—same love for old cars, same wavelength. It took him a full year to convince her to go on a date. After that, they didn’t leave each other’s side.

Ten years.
Two of the sweetest boys, Cole and Sal.
A whole life built together before this day even arrived.

They didn’t want attention.
Didn’t want production.
Just their people, a little fresh spring air, and the space to actually be in it.

First look.
Private vows.
A ceremony George crafted around their story—partnership, devotion, growth.
Hugs, appetizers, kids running around, everyone settling into the afternoon like it was exactly where they were meant to be.

Blue skies, cotton candy clouds, that perfect kind of April light Connecticut gives you when everything’s just starting to come back to life.

The kind of day where “home” is four people curled up on the couch… and you can feel that same energy ripple through every part of it.

Stephanie + Mitchell, George and I loved being there with you and your boys. Truly.

If you’re planning something small, intentional, and a little outside the traditional wedding mold—I’ll help you shape a day that actually feels like yours. Reach out and let’s start planning.
