Motherhood is one of the most beautiful things I have ever had the privilege to witness through my lens.

Over the years, one of the guiding principles behind my business has always been this: to make sure mothers are seen. Truly seen.

Because mothers are so often the ones behind the camera. The ones carrying everything for everyone. The planners, the comforters, the safe place, the heartbeat of the family. And in the quiet moments… they are often exhausted, overwhelmed, and unseen — especially in photographs.

That is why capturing mothers with their children means so much to me. These portraits are not just photographs to me. They are reminders. Proof of love. Proof of connection. Proof that you were there in every hug, every kiss, every hand held tightly in yours.

I know during sessions there are moments where moms worry their children are being too silly, too stubborn, too busy to “cooperate” for the camera. I see the look on your face when you’re hoping for just one smiling photo. But I also see something even more important — your bond. The way your children melt into your arms. The way they look for you without even thinking. The laughter, the forehead kisses, the tight hugs, the tiny hands wrapped around your neck.

These mark my final greenhouse session of the season… and I’m still sitting in so much gratitude.

These sessions always feel a little extra special — soft light pouring in, the quiet calm of the space, and families slowing down long enough to just be together. Getting to document those moments, especially for people I’ve known for so long, is something I will never take for granted.

And as I close this chapter for the spring season… I’m stepping into one of the fullest, most exciting seasons my business has ever seen.

My calendar is quickly filling with summer sessions, family stories, adventurous sessions, and moments that I already know are going to be so meaningful to capture. There’s something really powerful about seeing this dream continue to grow — not just in bookings, but in connection, trust, and the people who invite me into their lives.
