Hey New Jersey!
I’ll have my Tintype gear set up at my New Egypt farm studio from January 29 – February 8th.
Since I’m working from home that week, sessions are priced a little lower than my NYC studio.
Book your tintype portrait (or get more info):
Comment “New Jersey” and I’ll DM you the link.
Or click the link in my bio / visit NYCTintype.com to explore all options.

NJ Studio Pricing
Single Plate — $150
We’ll make two tintypes of the same pose—you keep your favorite.
Premium Session — $499
Up to 6 unique tintypes in one hour.
Try different lighting setups, change outfits, or share the session with a friend.
Prefer to keep it simple? Stick with one setup for six beautiful plates.
Either way, it’s a collaborative, hands-on experience.

What the heck is a tintype?
Tintypes are made using the 1850s wet plate collodion process, creating portraits directly on metal. Each plate is made entirely by hand—from coating and exposure to development in the darkroom—resulting in a one-of-a-kind, timeless object.

Why is this a “pop-up” in my home studio?
I share this space with my lovely wife, so I can’t keep the tintype gear set up long-term. That makes this a short-window pop-up—and a great opportunity for locals to experience the process at a lower price, without making the trip to NYC.
If you’re nearby, take advantage while it’s here.
