Good evening!
I am sincerely honored to be here with you in this prestigious honoring ceremony.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one of you for organising this wonderful event in my name.
My visit to United States of America this yr and my interaction with great people of Jonglei, who welcomed me with open arms and showed me so much love , inspired me to composed the Jieng de Jonglei song.
As we all know, musicians and artists expresses their love, sorrow and appreciations through songs. Therefore, my intention for dedicating this song to the Jieng /Dinka of Jonglei was to simply convey my gratitude and appreciation to them.
In general, our first duty as musicians is to write and sing songs that bring peace,unity and love to our beloved people and nation.
This song, "Jieng de Jonglei," is my absolute gift to the wider Jieng of Jonglei, I sang it with so much love, passion and appreciation.
I equally take this opportunity to appreciate and thank the organising team for putting this beautiful and colorful occasion together. Without your hard work and dedication, this celebration would have not been possible.
My artistic journey will continue to inspire, reflect on my personal creativity ,growth ,love for my country and its people.
My talent and creativity is from you, because Iām your daughter, sister, and a friend.
