A younger version of me never would have imagined this life. Feeling incredibly thankful for the chance to create, explore, and share places like Iceland with such amazing people. It’s never just about the photos. It’s about the people, the beautiful drives, the hikes, the laughter, and getting to experience a place like this together. So grateful for this adventure 🤍

I’ve learned that one day, they’ll be too big to gather back into you like this.

And I wonder if they still remember the shape of their first home. The curves of your arms. The bones that once sheltered theirs. The way the whole world grows quiet when you pull them close.

Maybe that’s the ache of motherhood. Knowing every current will carry them a little farther from you, while hoping they’ll always remember the way home. 🤍

This is my favorite part of my workshops. Not the photos, the editing, or the education. It’s getting to witness this. Watching someone experience one of my favorite places in the world for the very first time. It’s a reminder that beauty still has the power to stop us in our tracks, and getting to share that feeling with others is something I’ll never take for granted 🤍

photography exists
to prove
that you were here.
that this life happened.
AI can create an image.
but it cannot capture
a life it will never live.
it cannot photograph
a mother’s body
as if it were holy
the vessel that bridged
heaven and earth,
carried life,
nourished it,
changed forever because of it.
it cannot know
the sacredness of a moment
simply because
it will not last.
and maybe that is the point.
that these ordinary things
messy hair, tired eyes,
sticky fingers,
the way they still reach for you
become sacred
the second you realize
they are temporary.

maybe this is why I photograph.
to hold, for a second,
what was never meant to stay.
light slipping through windows.
wind in tangled hair.
the ache of knowing
nothing lasts forever.
maybe it is my way of reaching
for something just beyond the surface,
something holy
hidden in ordinary things.
the fleeting.
the things you can feel
but can’t quite hold
maybe my way
of touching something divine,
that somehow feels eternal.

i don’t really believe
in competition
when it comes to art.
we can stand in the same place.
hold the same camera.
and still see
something entirely different.
i won’t change my art
because of what someone else is creating.
i’ll keep chasing
what feels true to me.
