As we’ve seen many other photographers also share in the last few days, I have decided to move in the direction of no longer posting young children’s faces on my social media accounts. For me, this decision-making process started a few months ago when my own baby was born, but has been solidified with the recent ruling to make creating and privately possessing explicit AI images of children lawful.
This does not change the flow of my sessions at all! I will not be purposely taking faceless photos during your session to benefit MY social media (unless you ask for them!).
I originally didn’t feel it was necessary to announce this, but I think it’s important to make clear that protecting the safety of my clients is something I feel strongly about, and ultimately more important than having a picture for my portfolio.
