I thought you might want to see what was created and what I actually saw. Same position but zoomed from 60mm to 600 mm.

Tweaked the blacks, whites, highlights, etc.

Third year for the North Charleston Arts Festival. Entered four pieces for this judged competition. 3rd Place for Monochrome, Honorable Mention for Color and sold one piece.

I haven't photographed in awhile... So while working, I had the camera near by.

Few simple rules... The photograph must have been taken in Florida. A maximum of 100 photographers may enter up to two photos each. Then narrowed down by 4 Judges to The Top 20.

Popular votes are in... "Intensity" below took 3rd Place! Not the "Gold" but I'm thrilled... Amazing work done by other photographers made it difficult, I'm sure, for all to vote.

The Story behind the photo:
On this adventurous trip, my father was with me as we hiked around, previewing and photographing when the opportunity existed. This was taken down by the dam near where the dilapidated dock once stood. I couldn't believe my eyes what I was seeing in my viewfinder. I try to maneuver as close as I can without interfering. I called softly for my father to come to my location so he could capture this amazing sight. He had no such luck! This light was natural, meaning what you see, I saw! No enhancement or tweaking. These are the moments you love, those precious moments in time that will never occur again.
