Unforgettable
That is the word I chose 7 years ago when I launched Erin Lynch Photography to frame my mission around. Little did I know that the meaning of that word would evolve tremendously over the years for me.
In the beginning, I used “unforgettable” to help capture the essence of my studio experience with my clients. From first conversation to our moment of art delivery and seeing the tears flow when my clients held their canvases in their hands, unforgettable was the mission.
In 2021, when we lost our sweet Bella boo, my art I created of her every day in the studio provided me with so much comfort. Her very first printed portrait still hangs on my office wall. I lived through so many of my clients having to say goodbye to their beloved pets and when it was my turn I am forever thankful for the art I have of my girl. She is unforgettable and I hope that all my clients cling to their art like I do.
Now in 2024 unforgettable takes a new meaning once again. The twinge of longing has been pinging in my heart and mind for almost 2 years now. My passion for my craft is unforgettable. I simply cannot live without it. I miss the days in the studio when my camera was attached to me like an extra appendage and mapping out new lighting setups to test was always filling my brain. I can’t let that fade away because that is a huge part of who I am and it is who I want to continue becoming.
Today is the first day of taking steps towards becoming an artist once again and my heart is so full with the thought of possibilities.
