Y'all have shown up 🩵

I intended to come back from maternity leave sometime in April. I did not have a set date and full transparency; I was not even sure I could manage sessions two months post partum, but God! Not only has He literally held me steady while in sessions, but He has provided session after session since April 1st. I am beyond blown away and grateful.

This session was my first one back and one that is bittersweet. I photographed her sister's graduation photos just last year, right before I got pregnant. I have known these girls for a long time, so watching them grow and then graduate just fills my heart with so much joy. I cannot wait to see where God places you Shelby.

Maternity Leave 🍼🍼

I was hoping to hang on until the 24th of this month, but I need to begin my maternity leave starting today. I had one final session last night with a beautiful friend who is also pregnant and my body is ready to rest before baby girl's arrival.

I am still accepting bookings for after April 2026 so do not hesitate to reach out and schedule your spring and summer sessions. I am also off all social media platforms so please email me at [email protected] or through my main website to book. I will not be on social media until after baby is born.

The highest honor! I got a call from this father looking to have generational photos done. On one of the hottest dates of the year, we made it happen. The young man in the middle was 96 years old. This was a really bittersweet session, one I truly will never forget.

A dad and his boys 💪

It is very rare (let's change this) to have a father reach out for family photos. I am so glad he did, though! We had some great conversations and managed to get these great shots even through the sprinkling rain (I had to use a golf umbrella 😂). His boys may be grown, but these memories will be a keepsake for generations to come.

Beach photo sessions are always full of adventure! I love when families come together from all over the country and get photos taken. Time is fleeting, and these moments are meant to be captured (amidst all the chaos of travelling!) This session was one I will not forget, full of belly laughs and good people.

This past summer was so good to us! I won't lie, I am excited for the cooler weather to be here, but not the earlier nights. Sessions will start earlier, come the first of November, so keep that in mind when planning your next photo session.

I am gonna go cry in a corner now 😭

Skylar was a youth student when I was a youth leader, and I met her boyfriend right before we all had transitions happen. The blessing with ministry is that even when you leave a place, ministry does not stop unless you let it. Ministry is for life, and to me, that includes staying in contact with people who have crossed my path.

It was so fun getting to take their senior photos this past weekend, many deep talks and laughs. We also got to honor a sweet young man who is no longer with us. Seeing these young adults honor their friend was extremely special and so vital for healing. Grief never stops and is not one-sided. It comes in waves and has many ups and downs. I hope this blesses someone in their own grief journey. 🫶

Groovy One 1️⃣

This one hits deep! This family came into our lives at a time when we needed it the most. Transitions are messy and beautiful all at the same time, but God allowed us to walk through them together, hand in hand.

This sweet little girl has been a light not only to their lives but to ours. She brings so much joy every time she comes over to Camp Kalinec 😉 She and I share the same birthday, so I am a little biased, but nonetheless it is so easy celebrating her!

Rachel has an incredible mind when it comes to many talents, but event planning is definitely high on her list of spectacular qualities! If you need a party or wedding planned, definitely reach out to her. Cole is a fantastic instrumental teacher if you are looking to learn one!
