I love to take pictures of the beauty that God surrounds us with every day. There are many people who can no longer get outside because of health reasons so I am sharing this page with them and anybody else that loves a great view. Please share it with those who wants to see outside but can't. I was born here in New Bern, NC and it has taken me 50+ years to enjoy the beauty of the Neuse and Trent
Rivers. If you are familiar with this area then you know that we had lots of hurricanes that have taken a toll on us. I lived across the road between the river and the creek when I was a kid and now I am back in that home. We always had to leave when the hurricanes came. In 2011 we had Hurricane Irene and because my late husband was so sick he didn't want to leave, I was not happy about that because I know how devastating the river and the winds can be. Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck through it all. I believe that was the longest storm I have ever witnessed. I prayed, paced the floor and prayed some more. Finally on Saturday night the winds calmed down. On Sunday, I was taking pictures of my yard with all the pecan limbs and thousands of pecans on the ground and I saw a small rose bush with just one orange rose on it...I began to cry...I knew right then that God had looked out for us. The rose was in a place that I knew that my Mama had not planted it, so I just looked up and said thanks God and Mama. I felt like my Mama had told God to give me an orange rose so that I knew it came from her too. That taught me many lessons about trusting God. The God that is with us on the mountains is still the same God in those valleys and storms of life. I hope you enjoy the views with me. Taking pictures is also my stress reliever, because I see all that God has made for us. He has shown me time and time again, that He has His hands on me and that no matter what I am facing, He is right there with me. He leads me to some interesting spots to get that perfect picture and just the perfect time. God is always on time, not to early and not to late, right on time. Thank you for browsing around my page and I hope and pray that you will have a great and blessed day. Feel free to visit my other page, This Little Light of MIne. It is the one with the capital I in Mine. That is a Christian magazine that I publish monthly. Hope you enjoy it too. Thanks, Annette (nicknames: Smiley and Nettie)
