I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of looking back through this sweet girl’s two-year milestone session. 🥹

There’s just SO much Stevie in these photographs, and each one holds a tiny piece of who she is right now. 💗

The twirling and exploring. The serious little faces. The sweetness and the sass. The frosting-covered fingers and the moments where she’s completely forgotten there’s a camera there.

That’s one of the things I love so much about milestone sessions. It’s not only about documenting what they looked like at two.

It’s remembering who they were because it doesn’t last nearly long enough. 🥹

Yesterday was one of those days that wasn’t anything extraordinary… but this morning I found myself thinking about what a gift it was. 🥹

I started the day looking through photographs of a family I’d spent the evening before with and delivered a lil peek to Momma. 🥰 I met friends at a new indoor farmers market, pulled my camera out just because and captured a few moments of her sweet babes. 🥹

I spent some time at the park sharing some photography knowledge with my niece-in-law, stopped by to help my mother-in-law, and ended the day photographing one of my favorite families as they prepare to welcome their second babe. 💝 Then I came home to see all the hard work my husband had put into replacing our fence.

None of it was particularly grand.

Just people I love. A camera in my hand. Opportunities to help, create, connect and be present.

And maybe that’s what I’m feeling especially grateful for this Sunday morning, the reminder that a really beautiful life is often made up of a whole lot of ordinary moments we could easily miss. 💗

I still remember what a beautiful fall evening this senior session was. 🍂

We talked about Brock’s future and everything that was ahead of him… but one of the things I remember most is that he really didn’t care about having senior photos taken. 😂 He was doing this for his sweet Momma because he knew how much these photos meant to her.

And I made sure he knew how much I appreciated that. 🫶

Because at 18, these photos might not feel all that important to them. But to the Momma who can’t quite figure out how her little boy is already a senior? They mean so much. 🥹

And somehow, here we are almost two years later. It’s a reminder of just how quickly this season really does pass. 🥹🥹

There are some sessions where the conversation becomes just as memorable as the photos. 🥰

That was my time with April. 🫶

We talked about her journey, life, laughed a LOT, and somewhere in the midst of all our fun, I got to know the kind & caring heart behind that beautiful smile.🥹 It was so evident how much she cares about people and the passion she has for serving her patients well. 💖

She’s worked incredibly hard to reach this next chapter, and it was a privilege to be a part of her journey and celebrate all she’s accomplished. 💝

April, I hope when you look at these, you see how far you’ve come and feel incredibly proud of the strong woman stepping into this next chapter. 🥹

How are we already a little over TWO WEEKS away from Alex & Shay’s wedding day?! 🥹💗

It feels like we were just out here laughing our way through their engagement session, and now we’re officially counting down the days until these two get MARRIED!! Eeek!! 🥳💍

Looking back through these brought the biggest smile to my face. There is so much joy and love between these two, and I know their wedding day is going to be full of so much sweetness. 🥹

Alex & Shay, I can hardly wait to celebrate with you SO soon!! 💗✨

Well… I had a little adventure at our home this weekend that I can’t resist sharing. 🤭

My Momma was over helping me clean and reorganize the basement, and we had our grandson Adrian with us for a sleepover, so I asked him to “help” us.

After we finished, we went upstairs, I used the bathroom, flushed the toilet… and halfway through the flush, the water just stopped.

No water in the toilet.
No water in the faucets.
Nothing. 😳

I checked the village page no issues reported, called a friend in town to learn they have water, then quickly realized this was apparently a just us problem. Now my panic was really setting in 😕

The village was amazing and sent someone out right away. They replaced our very rusty water meter thinking that might be the issue… but still nothing.

Then he went down to the basement, turned one little k**b on the water line, and suddenly… WATER. 🤣

Apparently, while we were cleaning, my almost-three-year-old grandson had found the shutoff valve and decided the entire house no longer needed water. 🤣🤣🤣

So we got a new water meter out of the deal and a really great laugh. 🤣🤣🤣

Adrian is always keeping life interesting. 🤣💗
