Beeden Photography • Massachusetts Portrait Photographer Creating heartfelt, storytelling portraits for families, couples, brands, and sentimental souls across South Coast MA + RI.

I'm Jessica, do-er of all the things, lover of all the animals, and passionate about memories.

There's a lot to my story, but the truth is that I was blessed enough one day to be gifted a camera by my late mother. Life has been a wild ride and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that I've earned along the way, with many thanks to her. The best part about everything I've ever done is t

hat my approach is the backbone that has gotten me to where I am and it speaks for itself.

The perfect combination of the work I put out and the popularity of people not only looking, but feeling their best in front of my camera has fueled my passion for photography. By sharing my passion, I've been able to watch the confidence and sense of self-love skyrocket in a number of people, especially women. Let's face it; we are complex creatures that tend to be our own worst critics and often need a boost of confidence.

I repeat, I'm truly grateful for everything that has come my way. The best part is that I absolutely love what I do and none of it seems like work to me. I believe that everything I've worked to accomplish stems from one place:

The time I've spent, people I have met, and experiences I've had looking through my lens at the beauty of each face that I find there.

That's it, in essence. When you don't find me with my camera in my hand, you'll most likely find me roaming some place in the world, creating memories of my own and spending as much time as I possibly can with my beautiful family.

We are given one life; live it, but don't forget to take photos along the way!

My business relies solely on people choosing me.

There are a LOT of photographers out there. A lot of talented people you could choose to trust with your families, your milestones, your businesses and all the moments in between.

Every inquiry, every booking, every referral, every time someone comes back again... it means more than you realize.

My business literally exists because people choose me to do something I genuinely love doing.

So, thank you from the bottom of my grateful heart for choosing me. 🤎

Well, this was a first...
This sweet, tiny, baby blessing slept through her entire newborn session without a peep. We changed her outfit three times, did a diaper change, gave her a milky snack, tickled her piggies, and even tried a cool wipe to wake her up. She wasn't having it - way too cozy in Miss Jessica's studio! 🙂‍↔️

(She may or may not have kept her momma up the entire night before to pull this off, but...🙃)

For those of you that are new here, one thing about me is I will BEG you to bring your furry friends to the session and I WILL make space for the silliest of moments! I will always be obsessed with candids.

PS. No husbands were harmed in the making of these images 🤣

I have been absolutely inundated with senior sessions over the last month, which means I’ve been behind on posting them (as usual lol).

But I had to share one of my favorites from this senior season.

The beach has definitely been the place to be this year, but somehow no two sessions ever feel the same. Different light, different personalities, different energy.

A few favorites from her senior session 🤍

I’ve been dying to share this one!

Noah reached out because he was planning to propose to Morgan and this man had THOUGHTS. He wanted the perfect place, the right time, the right spot… he was taking this very seriously. When a man has a plan, he has a PLAN!

Sunday drives in his sports car are kinda their thing, and they'd been to Gooseberry Island together once before, so that’s where he decided he wanted to do it.

Funny backstory...

Morgan apparently already had a feeling a proposal was coming soon - to the point that she had a specific dress she wanted to be wearing when it happened (hello Type A lol). So obviously, when Noah told her to wear THAT dress for their Sunday drive, she definitely knew what was happening. She still had no idea where or when though! So while they were on their “Sunday drive,” I was waiting at Gooseberry with two people and a dog, trying to look like I absolutely was NOT waiting for two specific people to show up. I literally (politely) kicked two bicyclists out of the actual spot Noah chose to get on one knee, 5 minutes before they were about to come around the corner. They were super cool about it when I told them why I need that area of sand. 😂

Anyway, she said YES! And I absolutely loved being in on this little secret and getting to be part of such a special moment for them. ❤

We almost didn't get to do this session...

Our original location unexpectedly fell through, so on a wing and a prayer I reached out to The Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum through every possible avenue. I called. I emailed. I even messaged both of their Instagram accounts. I was desperate and had zero shame in that moment.🤣

Meanwhile... I was already driving there because, as they say... sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. (Kidding... mostly. 😅)

Believe it or not, they replied to my DM within minutes and gave us the green light to shoot on the property. I was already 5 minutes way anyway, but.. lol

A HUGE thank you to everyone at Rotch-Jones-Duff for accommodating us on literally no notice and so graciously welcoming us onto the grounds... even with a Hamlet rehearsal happening that evening. 😂 You guys are seriously the best. I wish I knew the name of the woman who welcomed me - she was super sweet!

But anyway... it was 100% meant to be.

This beautiful young lady is celebrating her Quinceañera this fall, and if you know Quince's, you know they're nothing short of magical. Her theme is The Princess and the Frog, so this session absolutely had to feel royal. And if I do say so myself, we nailed it.

And before anyone comes for me about Ai... Yes, the frog is real... as real as old-school editing gets. That image was hand-edited by yours truly, not generated with Ai whatsoever. Every little detail was added manually because I happen to still very much prefer Photoshop when it comes to my work 🙂‍↕️

One of the questions I get asked all the time is, "Where should we spend the most money?"

And after being at more weddings than I can count... my answer has never changed.

Food.
Your DJ.
Your photographer.
That's it.

I've never heard someone say, "Remember those charger plates? Life changing."

But I HAVE heard...
"I still think about that steak."
"That dance floor was insane."
"I've looked through our wedding album a hundred times."

As a wedding photographer, I get a front-row seat to all of it. I watch your guests experience your wedding from beginning to end, and these three things have the biggest impact every single time.

Good food keeps people happy.
A great DJ keeps people on the dance floor.
And great photos are what you'll still have long after the last song plays.

Now, before anyone comes for me... this doesn't mean your flowers, décor, stationery, or all the little details don't matter. They absolutely do. They help make your wedding feel like YOUR wedding.

But if your budget starts getting tight and you're wondering where your money will go the farthest, these are the three things I personally would protect.

Married couples... back me up here. If you could do it all over again, what would you spend more on? Or less?

Tagging a few of my favorites because community is where it's at 🥰

Business owners… quick question.

When did you last update your brand photos?

Not your logo.
Not your website.
YOUR photos.

If you’re still using images from 2–3 years ago, your business probably doesn’t even look like that anymore.

You’ve grown.
You’ve pivoted.
You’ve refined your craft.
Maybe you’ve even built an entirely different business.

Your photos should grow with you.

People don’t just buy what you do.
They buy the experience.
The energy.
The person behind the business.

We are halfway through 2026 and it’s the perfect time for a brand refresh. Not because the calendar says so. Because your business deserves to be seen as it is today.

Let’s connect! 🙃📸🤎

Every year around this time, all the local groups start filling up with the same question:

“Who’s your favorite senior photographer?”

So here’s a little behind-the-scenes tip… If your teen is graduating in 2027, now is the time to start planning their session photo session.

Booking early means you have first dibs on the best dates. It also gives you time to think about locations, outfits, and creating something that actually feels like them.

Senior photos are more than just a yearbook requirement. They’re one of the last times you’ll intentionally document your child before they step into a completely new chapter. A year from now, they’ll likely be packing for college, starting a career, joining the military, or figuring out what comes next. The horror, I know! 😩

Whether you hire me or another photographer whose work you love, my biggest piece of advice is simply this: Don’t wait until the end of summer or the leaves start changing to begin looking and book a session! 👈🏻
