I remember getting my first digital camera at Christmas one year when I was younger. Couldn’t tell you what kind it was, but I remember as I started to use it I would go out to this very back yard and take photos of this very landscape.
This is where I grew up. Where my creativity was cultivated. Where God was fostering my eye for photography. It wasn’t people that I captured but His creation. The flowers my mom grew in her beautiful garden. This shed that is amazingly still standing. There was a time I couldn’t see the beauty in this yard because of a tornado that took so much of it.
But over the past 14 years it has taken on such a new beauty.
When I come back I’m reminded of how something can be completely disheveled, torn down, stripped and God comes in and resurrects a new beauty.
That’s what God does in us. When we are broken, disheveled, town down, stripped and he makes us new. Even better than before.
Isn’t it beautiful how plants, trees, animals all rebuild without hesitation. Nature itself is designed to regrow and constantly create new life. That is what God does in us if we allow Him to.
Allow Him to cultivate new growth in you, you won’t be disappointed 🌻
