Now that Will got his spotlight, I’m gonna be honest for a minute.

In my original post, I talked about how wonderful the staff was, and they truly were. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and kind. Our waitress offered to bring us anything we needed, and they made us feel so welcome.

Truthfully, we were nervous about being an inconvenience to anyone. That’s why we showed up right at 11 when they opened, asked for a booth tucked in the corner, and tried our best to stay out of the way. The corner booth gave us better light for photos, but also let us keep everything contained and quiet.

What I wasn’t expecting were some of the looks we got from other customers. We weren’t loud. Will was so well behaved the entire time. We stayed in our little booth while he happily enjoyed his first taste of juicy steak.

But there were multiple moments where people kept turning around to stare, and not in a “oh that’s so cute” kind of way. More of a “why are y’all doing this here?” feeling. We even waited until one table left before trying to snap a few quick photos on the signature Texas Roadhouse saddle because we genuinely didn’t want to bother anybody.

And maybe people were just curious. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. But I don't think so and it made me a little sad.

Because documenting this little milestone for their last baby mattered to Kelly and Sean.

Nobody minds when the birthday songs start, when the staff line dances to AJ, or when the whole restaurant erupts into cheers and clapping. That’s part of the Texas Roadhouse experience, and honestly, it’s part of what makes the place fun.

So it was disappointing to feel like this family moment somehow didn’t belong there too.

We celebrated the best way we know how… good food and even better company.

Huge shoutout to the crew at Lynchburg Texas Roadhouse! Seriously top tier. Our server Jordan took such good care of us and even had the kitchen throw extra grill lines on the steak just to make it photo-worthy… and honestly, I respect that level of commitment.

As if keeping up with posting to social media isn't hard enough already.....Every time I cross-post from Instagram it deletes my captions. 🫠🫠

I’ve never really loved saying “Happy” Memorial Day… because there’s nothing happy about it.

Today is for remembering the men and women who gave everything, so we could live the lives we do, with the freedoms we have.

So take a moment today.
Remember them. Honor them. Reflect on it.
And don’t take a single bit of it for granted.

God bless America 🇺🇸
