To put things in perspective in regards to our concern about the high rainfall totals. In just our sanitary sewer service area of 15.6 square miles, if we receive the 15 inches of rain the NWS has predicted, that is the equivalent of 4,066,000,000 gallons of water. Which would be equal to over ONE HUNDRED MILLION BATHS! With our manholes being in the street, and the streets flooding, much of this water will make its way into our system. Our team is preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best.

Hours of operation: While we do not recommend travel, the main office at 1520 Ellis Avenue will be open for limited operations on Tuesday.

This is an unusual storm in that the wind speeds will not be as high as most storms. However, do not let that deceive you into thinking it's OK out there. The rainfall could be more than significant. Meteorologists are using the terms "historic" and catastrophic" to described the predicated 10 to 20 inches of rain. Some areas may receive more.
