Your business has a story. The question is — are your images telling it?

Personal branding photography is not just a headshot. It’s the full visual language of who you are and what you do — the face behind the brand, the personality behind the expertise, the process behind the result. It’s what makes someone land on your website or your LinkedIn and immediately feel like they already know you, trust you, and want to work with you.

If you’ve been running your business on old photos, stock images, or nothing at all — you’re leaving that first impression to chance. And in a world where people decide in seconds whether to keep scrolling or reach out, that matters more than most people realize.

Here’s what personal branding photography actually gives you: a library of images that works as hard as you do, across every platform, every pitch, every introduction — so that wherever someone finds you, your brand shows up fully and on purpose.

You built something worth seeing. Let’s make sure people can see it.

This is my favorite photo of me with my foster son.
He is looking straight into the camera with the most serious face a baby has ever made and I am cheek to cheek with him, completely gone. No studio lighting. No perfect backdrop. Just a selfie on an ordinary day that somehow captured everything.
This is the photo I would hang on a wall.
And then I look at the black and white one. Me on my first birthday. My mother holding me — completely present, completely devoted — and completely turned away from the camera. I am looking straight into the lens. She is looking at me. And nobody thought to say — wait, turn around. Let us see you too.
It was the era of film. Cameras were a luxury. You didn’t take seventeen shots to get one good one. You took what you could and hoped for the best. I understand that. I don’t resent it.
But I miss what we don’t have.
Not the family lineup in front of a tourist sight. Not the group shot at a wedding. Just us. A tender moment. Something I could hang on a wall.
I think about this every time I pick up my camera. Every time a mother sits down with her daughter and they forget for a moment that I’m there. Every time someone looks at the back of the camera and says — oh. Is that really what we look like together?
Yes. That’s exactly what you look like together.
This is why I do what I do with family portraits. This. The in-between moment. The one that becomes the thing you reach for when you need to remember what love looked like on a Tuesday afternoon.
Mother’s Day is May 11th. I’m booking Mom & Me portrait sessions now — for the daughters who want their mothers in the frame. For the mothers who have spent a lifetime behind the camera. For anyone who has looked at an old photo and wished someone had thought to turn around.

She’s been in every photo. Usually the one taking it.
This Mother’s Day, put her in the frame — with the people she loves most, her hair and makeup done, someone to tell her where to stand and how stunning she looks.
Not a gift card. Not a brunch reservation. A day that’s entirely, unapologetically hers — and images she’ll have for the rest of her life.
Your mom has spent a lifetime showing up for everyone else. This Mother’s Day, we show up for her.
All moms welcome. Human babies, fur babies, all of it.
Custom portrait sessions — DM me “MOM” to start planning.

I’m looking for 4 women in MetroWest who are done showing up small.
The ones whose business has outgrown their current photos. The ones who cringe every time they have to post because nothing in their camera roll actually looks like who they’ve become. The ones who are launching something, relaunching something, or scaling something — and need images that can keep up.
You didn’t build what you’ve built to look like everyone else.
Here’s what we do together:
We start with strategy. Multiple calls before we ever pick up a camera — building your storyboard, understanding your brand, aligning on every detail. We bring in your marketing partners — your web designer, your digital marketer — so we shoot for every space that needs to be filled, in the right ratios, with intention.
On shoot day: a stylist to pull and style your looks. Hair and makeup. Multiple locations. Studio access if you need it. A shot list so nothing is left to chance.
After the shoot: a full consult on how to use what we’ve made. Because beautiful images sitting in a folder help nobody.
What you walk away with is not a gallery of pretty photos. It is a content library that will work for your brand for the next two years minimum.

4 spots. May only. MetroWest women building something real.
If this is you — Book a date with me - https://calendly.com/shruthi-studio-s-portraits/brand-discovery-call

Here’s what I know after 14 years of putting people in front of my camera: almost everyone walks in convinced they are the exception. The one person the camera genuinely doesn’t like. The one who “always looks weird in photos.” The one who needs to lose ten pounds first, fix their hair first, feel more confident first.
And then something happens in that room.
That something is not magic. It’s a conversation that starts long before anyone picks up a camera. It’s me learning what makes you uncomfortable, what you’re proud of, what you’ve been told about yourself that isn’t true. It’s the prep, the guidance, the gentle nudge when you’re almost there and don’t know it yet.
I once had an author come in for her book cover shoot. First thing she told me — firmly, non-negotiable — was that she did not want her hands in any of the photos. She didn’t know what to do with them. They made her self-conscious. Absolutely no hands.
The shot she chose for her cover has both hands in it.
Because somewhere in that session, between the talking and the laughing and the small adjustments, she forgot to be afraid of them. And her hands told part of her story that her face alone never could have.
That’s what I do. I don’t just take your photo. I take the photo you didn’t know you were capable of.
April 24th. Needham Center. A 30-minute session, multiple backdrops, three outfit changes, hair and makeup available, and three edited images back to you in five days.
A few spots left. Link in bio.

She raised you, embarrassed you, and shaped everything good about you. This Mother’s Day, give her something that says: I see you — and I want everyone else to too.
5 reasons a Mom & Me portrait session is the gift she actually deserves:
01. Because she’s never in the photo. She’s the one who took every picture of you growing up. Every birthday, every first day of school, every awkward phase she somehow found adorable. It’s her turn. Get in the frame with her.
02. Because she doesn’t think she’s worth the fuss. She’ll say she doesn’t need it. She’ll say she hates how she photographs. She’ll try to make it about you. This is you saying — out loud, with a whole session — that she is worth every single bit of the fuss. She always has been.
03. Because your kids will want these someday. They won’t remember her the way you do. But they could have this — her hands, her smile, the way she looks at you. A photograph is a gift you’re giving to people who don’t exist yet. That’s how long love lasts.
04. Because getting ready together is the whole point. The laughing in the mirror. The “does this look okay?” The moment she sees herself and goes quiet for a second because she actually looks beautiful and maybe forgot she was. That morning is a memory before you even leave the house.
05. Because time is moving faster than either of you want to admit. You know this. You feel it every time you hug her goodbye. Stop waiting for the right time. Stop waiting until she’s “feeling better about herself” or you’ve “lost a few pounds” or life slows down. It doesn’t slow down. Book the damn session.

Mother’s Day is May 10th( my moms birthday!). I’m booking Mom & Me portrait sessions now — just the two of you, at my Needham Center studio, with hair and makeup available and images that will be on someone’s wall for the next 40 years.
Link in bio. Do it for her. Do it for you. Do it so you never have to wonder what you would’ve done differently.
