AEROSPEC SOLUTIONS IS HIRING!

We are especially interested in candidates holding one or more of the following certifications:

INSPECTION CERTIFICATIONS
• API 510
• API 570
• API 653
• ASNT UT Level II
• Level II Infrared Thermographer / Thermography Certification
• Additional NDT certifications are a plus

DRONE QUALIFICATIONS
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate

Ideal candidates have experience working in refineries, chemical plants, terminals, tank farms, or other industrial facilities and understand the safety requirements associated with industrial inspection environments.

We’re especially interested in inspectors who can bring both skill sets to the table : inspection knowledge combined with an FAA Part 107 certification.

As severe weather approaches the Gulf Coast, AeroSpec Solutions is prepared to support industrial facilities and critical infrastructure with rapid post-storm drone reconnaissance.

Following the storm, our unmanned inspection technology can help assess:

• Tanks, towers, stacks & elevated structures
• Refineries & chemical facilities
• Ports, terminals & marine infrastructure
• Roofs & structural damage
• Pipelines & hard-to-access areas
• Flooding, debris & visible storm damage
• Thermal anomalies and areas of concern

Using 4K visual imaging, thermal imaging and LiDAR, we can provide rapid aerial intelligence while reducing the need to immediately place personnel in potentially unstable or hazardous areas.

Assess the damage. Identify priorities. Keep people out of harm’s way.

The interesting thing about drone inspections isn’t just what the technology can do but it’s how it’s changing the way we think about inspections altogether.

Does someone really need to go in there?
Do we really need to build access just to get eyes on it?

Sometimes, there’s simply a better way.

A question we were recently asked:

“Are there any wall thickness or distance limitations that could cause the drone to lose communication with the controller?”

It’s a great question:

The technology we use is designed specifically for GPS-denied environments, so it doesn’t rely on GPS like traditional drones. Instead, it uses onboard LiDAR and visual sensors to navigate safely inside industrial assets.

Communication isn’t based on wall thickness alone. Signal performance depends on the asset’s design, materials, and the drone’s location. Every inspection is planned with those factors in mind to maintain a reliable connection.

Why does this matter? Because understanding these limitations before the inspection means fewer surprises, safer operations, and more reliable inspection data. At the end of the day, our goal isn’t just to fly a drone…it’s to help facilities make better maintenance decisions while keeping people out of hazardous environments.

Reduce risk. Cut costs. Inspect without entry. That’s the power of drone inspections.

Cities have a lot of infrastructure that has to be inspected…wastewater systems, lift stations, water treatment plants, water towers, tanks, and other confined spaces…and that’s where we come in to the make the job safer, faster and with better data.

If your municipality is looking at upcoming inspections or preventative maintenance, we’d love to have a conversation about where drone inspections could help.
