Last week I had the opportunity to attend MARS (Mid-Atlantic Regional School of Professional Photography) and study compositing with internationally recognized artist and educator Richard Sturdevant.

This image is Richard’s class of students after an intensive week of learning advanced compositing, visual storytelling, lighting integration, and creative problem solving. Programs like MARS are a reminder that professional photography is a continual process of education, experimentation, and growth.

I appreciate the opportunity to learn alongside so many talented photographers from across the country and look forward to applying these concepts in future work through RSB Photo Media.

This week I had the pleasure of photographing the health programs at Phoebe Berks in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, and seeing firsthand the energy, encouragement, and community that make these programs so meaningful.

On the same beautiful early spring day, I was also able to capture aerial photography and videography of the Phoebe Berks campus. With the grounds beginning to come alive in spring, it was a wonderful time to show both the people and the place that help make this community special.

Great people, a beautiful vision, a wonderful facility, and a long-awaited spring day—what could be better for a professional photographer?

Later this month, I will be photographing similar programs and environments at three additional Phoebe Ministries facilities, and I look forward to continuing to tell that story through images.

A portfolio of four of my images merited this weekend at the Inspire 2026 conference and image competition, earning me the 320 club award. It was even more special of have one image "One more, Mom" receive a judges choice award. I appreciate the time, friendship and learning that I consistently find at PPA of PA's meetings and conferences.

Imaging USA 2026 was a full and rewarding week for us—learning, reconnecting, and sharpening how we serve clients through visual communication. I’m pleased to share that I formally received my Master of Photography (M.Photog.) degree at the Award & Degree Ceremony on closing night.

Including the pre-conference classes, the week brought focused training in:

-Using AI to operate and scale our business more effectively

-Photographic technique and image processing workflows that improve consistency and quality

-Approaches and mindsets for expanding our market and increasing the value we deliver to customers

Just as important, it was a great time with fellow photographers—sharing ideas, seeing inspiring work, and strengthening the professional community that pushes all of us forward.
