It's almost time for fall family photos! 🍂 Choosing outfits can be a struggle, but it doesn't have to be hard. I'm always here to help.

When you're picking out outfits for your whole family, I always recommend choosing complimentary pieces instead of trying to match everyone. Long gone are the days of white tees and blue jeans for everyone. 😆

Consider...

🎨 Colors: I love a moody fall palette, but it's important to stick to what is true to you and your family! If you love shades of blue, green or orange, stick with that. Avoid neon and bright colors and try to find one or two accent colors that will play into each other with neutral pieces to keep the attention on your beautiful faces.

✨ Textures: Don't be afraid to mix and match with textures! Think: sweaters, corduroy, various shades of denim, lace and silk. Mix and match to give your photos movement and contrast, especially as I'll tuck you into each other for closer shots.

☀️ Layering: September and October in Tennessee can tend to still be HOT. Typically, we're meeting up right before sunset, so I recommend choosing options where you can layer with sweaters and jackets. If we're running around and get a little over-heated, you can easily take it off without ruining the whole vibe of your outfit.

P.S. Don't forget that make up dates are going to be made simple this year! Sessions are Fridays and Sundays with reschedules for weather or if I get called out to a birth the following evening. So Friday sessions would have a Saturday re-schedule; Sunday sessions would have a Monday re-schedule. When you book your date, mark off both evenings in your calendar! 🫶

I am completely booked for the remainder of 2026. I am so thankful for each and every family I get to support!

I am opening my 2027 books and I'm booking January-April. Each month has 2 birth slots available to ensure that I can be fully present for you. These are already starting to book! They’re for more than graduations and big milestones.
They’re for the in-between seasons too.
The “I just learned how to tie my shoe!” stage and the days where you’re stepping on more legos than changing diapers.
Family photos are for the growing moments where they’re not quite taller than you, but they’re going to pass you any day.
They’re for the toddler giggles (and big feelings!) and the *very* loved on stuffy dangling from a clenched fist.
Your family, right where they’re at right now, deserve to live in your camera roll, on your wall and in an album on your coffee table.

Prepping ahead for your newborn session, during your pregnancy, can go a long way! You'll want to make sure that you've booked your newborn session somewhere between your 2nd and very early 3rd trimester. Once that's done, here are a few tips on how to prepare to make your newborn session as relaxing as possible.

Pro Tip: If you're a mom of multiple children, invite someone you trust over the morning of your session to help you with other kids to allow you the space to get ready! 😉

One of the biggest misconceptions about doulas is that we're there to replace a partner or take over the room. In reality, a doula often changes the dynamic by helping everyone feel more supported, confident, and present.

For mom, having a doula means having a consistent support person whose focus is entirely on you. While nurses, midwives, and doctors may change shifts, care for multiple patients, or be in touch with a specific side of your birth, your doula remains a steady presence throughout your labor.

A doula can help you:
- Feel emotionally supported and reassured
- Understand your options as they arise
- Stay grounded during challenging moments
- Navigate the unexpected with confidence
- Feel seen, heard, and cared for throughout the process

For Partners, one of the most beautiful things I witness is how a doula can help partners be more present.

- Offer suggestions and guidance when needed
- Help partners feel confident in how they're supporting
- Step in so partners can take breaks to eat, rest, or regroup
