Update on 1934 Dodge Brothers Fire Wagon project at the Old Nashville Fire Station. Just one little project at a time. Big THANKS going to Tim Dean for help with wiring and flashing unit, Joey Wilson for steering wheel and repair, touch up painting by AARP workers Suzan Anders , Sheila Tollett and Gary Middleton , Bill-Jodi Jackson for bumper repairs, Mark E Dale for exhaust parts, Nikki Neeley Lacie and Alfred Neeley for exhaust parts and Dr Donald Sitzes for additional parts. More progress expected in the next week! Trying to be ready for Stand up for America 250!

It's been a busy few days at the Old Nashville Fire Station Museum with lots of progress on the 1934 Dodge Brothers Fire...

It's been a busy few days at the Old Nashville Fire Station Museum with lots of progress on the 1934 Dodge Brothers Fire Wagon. Exhaust all connected and installed, hose reel with hose painted and installed, rearview mirrors installed, red emergency light rewired/repaired and base installed and the final light switches and wiring on the agenda for the next few days. The tail/stop lights are supposed to arrive Saturday.

HISTORIC WASHINGTON ARKANSAS: During its' quarterly meeting Sat. May 30th, The Historic Washington Foundation elected Freddie Horne of Nashville to the HWF Board of Directors. He will chair the Grant Writing Committee for the organization. Horne is the President of the Howard Co. Historical Society, Nashville City Alderman, Emeritus Nashville City Parks Commissioner and former principal/teacher for the Nashville School District. The Historic Washington Foundation (formerly Pioneer Washington Restoration Foundation) is Arkansas’ oldest preservation organization, founded in 1958. The foundation now maintains eight significant properties within the boundaries of Historic Washington State Park, and continues its original goal to support the state park and keep properties open for visitors. The foundation is governed by a nonprofit Board of Directors and employs a skilled craftsman to assist with property maintenance.
