This one was quite different for me; never expected to take pictures of ladies wallering in mud, but I did. It's a 5k obstacle course ( Muddy Princess USA in New Vienna, OH) .
Spontaneous request, kinda last minute, but that's how I like it. It definitely didn't go as planned considering I was stuck outside of the course and couldn't get any photos for 95% of it. If my long lens would cooperate with my camera, I could have gotten that down to 85%, lol. The sunlight really isn't ideal, but the filmy haze edit made it look intentional.
I wouldn't be opposed to doing this again, just with more planning, scouting and maybe access to the course.

I haven't expressed this to anyone much if at all, but for the past several months to a year, I've not had the drive to take photos. Any time I did try, I just gave up without actually getting anything near the result I would have wanted. Today, I felt inspired and was just looking at everything with a curiosity that led me to actually composing some images. Never lost the desire to be a photographer, just couldn't find the will to try to get good images.

How cool is this 3D crystal puzzle?! Had to build it with some 3D puzzle pieces. Also used a different lens for some of these photos. It was given to me by a friend. You might notice some really dark corners, that's because the lens is made for a smaller camera sensor. I also noticed that there was an attachment on the lens made for a haze affect so it was coincidentally perfect for this scene.

Time to update my portfolio. Here's some captures from 2022, (some might be from after midnight last night).
I'm so burnt out on the mundane routine of going to work, then coming home and doing nothing. So I'm lacing up my boots and going after my photography dream. Maybe this time next year, I'll see a real hope in going full time.

For those of you that know me, you know that I love New York City. My dream is to live there, and I have a goal set for this year to visit, (but as it approaches, I'm seeing it to be less likely). My tag for online gaming is NYColas (plus some random numbers, lol), which is a word play on my name. I'm always looking for something really cool related to NYC, I found this a couple of weeks ago and it's perfect! There's a 2D puzzle that goes underneath that I found pointless considering how long it would have been to assemble. Besides, the black shelf is reflective like water and the puzzle was just the basic blue (unrealistic) water. There are some crooked buildings and there's dust on the shelf, but here's my first attempt at photographing it.
*edit* the bridge on its own in the front is in the wrong spot because it won't fit on the shelf the right way.
