He is a military photojournalist who has photographed combat missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan, has worked as a crime scene photographer, and recently branched out into the realm of general photography. For 20 years I have lived near the Music City Raceway but was always working or something when they had an event. Saturday I finally got to see a car and bike rally and time qualifications and get some shots. The goldRush Rally cars were cool, and a ton of burnouts, races, food, and bikes! After 25 years as a photojournalist in the Army/Army Reserve, it's kind of a sobering thought to think these might be the last photos I'm going to take for the U.S. Army. Our unit was lucky enough to cover the Combined Resolve exercise in Germany, and I came back with these photos. It has always been the greatest privilege of my life to cover the activities of our Soldiers in uniform, and I'm sure going to miss it when I retire from the military in a couple months.

Well, after nearly ten days without power, a crew of linemen from the town of , Alabama Electric Company, hung my downed line on Monday afternoon. All of these guys from all over have been working very hard, and I can't thank them enough! This ice storm damaged my personal and work truck's windshield's, had me living the Amish life with propane tanks and a constantly running generator 24/7, and was pretty annoying, but I have to admit, it was kinda pretty. Still happy this one's over, hopefully for everyone affected, very soon!
