Literally a year ago I noticed a photographer work a convention in the same room I’m standing in…..I admired her from a distance, I introduced myself, we exchanged information and been in contact ever since, and she is one of the many amazing community of photographers who encouraged me along the way.

A year later, I’m standing in that same space EXCEPT this time, I’m the photographer. 📸 🥰❤️🥰

My first 3-day event as the SOLO photographer. Thank you 📸

All the training, practice, networking, and hard work led me here. I have so many thank you to give….🥰 So many names and you know who you are….😉 My mentor my mentor….Oh my mentor……Much love to you!!!!

When I look at these magazines, I see more than my name and my photographs in print.

I see community. Connections. Consistency. Growth.

Over time, Naomi Hill Photography has appeared in print in Mission Hills City Lifestyle & Professional Photographers of America through a combination of my photography, community involvement, advertisements, and opportunities to share the work I’m doing as a photographer.

And every time I see it, I’m reminded that showing up matters.

One of the connections I’m especially grateful for is The Next Paige Agency, who introduced me to Mission Hills CityLifestyle Magazine. That introduction opened the door to advertising with the magazine and becoming part of a publication that continues to showcase the people, businesses, and stories that make this community special.

Comida KC 2026 at Union Station Kansas City was one of those unforgettable experiences for me.

As I moved throughout the event capturing the people, the energy, and the incredible moments, I felt like I was traveling from country to country without ever leaving Kansas City.!!!🌎❤️

But what made this event especially impactful was everything I learned, and the amazing people I had the opportunity to meet along the way.

Every conversation, every dish, and every photograph reminded me how powerful food and culture can be when they bring people together.

I’m incredibly grateful to The Hispanic Collaborative for trusting me to capture such a beautiful and meaningful event.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of Comida 2026 and to tell these stories through my lens. 📸

Photography has given me more than beautiful images….it’s given me a community.

I choose to collaborate, encourage, share knowledge, celebrate other photographers, and create opportunities for one another instead of looking at every photographer as competition.

Here are 5 reasons I choose community over competition, and one of the best examples is a regular photography meetup where photographers can connect, learn, share, and simply enjoy being around people who understand the craft.

There’s room for all of us. 🤎

When one photographer grows, it doesn’t take away from another photographer’s success.

We can all win.

Every event has a story and I love capturing the moments that tell it 🤗

It was an honor to photograph the event at the iconic in Kansas City. Bringing together business leaders, community partners, and international guests, 🇦🇷 the event celebrated growth, collaboration, and new opportunities that will have a lasting impact on our region.

A special thank you to AFA .leandro , and everyone who made this event such a success. It was a privilege to document the energy, meaningful conversations, and connections throughout the evening.

Growth looks different when you finally realize your talent is only part of the journey. 📸

Programs like Proof to Profit and Start Smart challenged me to think beyond taking great photos and really focus on building a business with intention, confidence, and purpose. Learning how to ask better questions, connect with the right audience, and truly invest in myself has changed so much for my business.

Grateful for every lesson, every connection, and every opportunity that continues to grow from this journey. This is only the beginning. 🤍

I had the honor of being featured by Voyage KC as a “hidden gem,” in my city, and it truly means so much to me. My photography journey is one of the craziest stories you will ever hear about it…..I know my earthly assignment is to be a photographer…..It started as a passion and something I didn’t realize I was even doing, but somehow catching moments is natural for me…
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, booked me, referred me, and believed in my vision. You’re a part of this story too. 💛

After an incredible seminar with Niah Aldrich on light, color, and connection, I had the chance to get behind the camera once it was all over and put it all into practice. Using the L120-B constant lights, I focused on capturing moments and building that connection with the model

And can we talk about that background???? The gobo added the perfect floral effect, giving the images that extra layer of creativity and depth 🌸 Thank you

Moments like this remind me that growth happens when you stay curious and keep shooting.
