Last weekend I had the honor of photographing the Annual Justin Sisson 5K for the Fallen. 2LT Justin Sisson deployed to Afghanistan in April 2013, where he was KIA by a Vehicle Borne Su***de Bomber on June 3, 2013 while leading his platoon and providing security for the Afghans in Chamkani. Each year since, the Sisson family, along with Florida State University ROTC, has hosted this event to raise funds for scholarships and to honor Justin and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. It is a healing time for all of us who were connected to Justin as family, friends, brothers and sisters in arms, spouses of those who served with Justin, and students who are following his example in service. Thank you to the Sisson Family for sharing this journey with us.
