This first 48 Session had me overwhelmed with joy. I couldn't help but let out a few happy "eek!"s when visiting this family for their First 48 shoot. Little Holland was only about 13 hours old. 🥹 It was really special to meet their little girl so early on, and it fills my heart to watch this little girl grow.

If there wasn't enough going on in my life already ( ) I finally got my business page's name changed! Welcome in a new era for my photography - welcome, to MAGE. ✨

Mage: A magician or learned person; people with a propensity toward magic and trained with its handling.

It is mind blowing to me how photography captures fractions of a second and freezes time. I call it magic. While the world spins on, we may only have photos to bring us right back to the person, the moment, or emotion we long for.

So, I am embarking on a new journey to bring myself back to what made a little girl in the Illinois cornfields believe in something bigger than herself. We're bringing the light, all of the creativity and every bit of laughter, love, or joy. We're bringing giggles and happy tears, and pushing our limits, experimenting and not fearing failure. It's not about perfection or putting on a show - it's about capturing this one beautiful life we've been given. Finding beauty in the ordinary and embracing every flaw.

It's been a journey to get here, and I'll be sure to share but for now...I'm cooking up all kinds of ideas. 💫

Picture it - Quilts, Flower Crowns, Champagne and Confetti. I have hearts for eyes. When my friend Darcy approached to shoot a surprise bachelorette picnic this summer I was PUMPED to make all these elements come together!

A beautiful day at Ellington Agricultural center with Christiana Vorst and her beautiful bridal party made my littlegirl dreams come to life! It was basically a tea party, but with champagne. heck yes!
