Chrome dome and a half dome...who wore it better?

Every day about 3,000 people submit for the $10 lottery to win one of less than 75 permits to climb the cables at half dome. That's $30,000 in much needed income going to conservation Yosemite National Park. Unfortunately I didn't win either of the two lotteries I entered this week, but glad I could contribute to the fundraising effort.

Tough times even in National Parks this year. Speaking with a Park Ranger today I learned Yosemite National Park had to lay off half of their employees.

Camping here until the 5th. Lucky I found a camp that has cell service, since I have a call at 10 AM tomorrow. After that, time to explore Yosemite National Park!!

Continuing my National Parks adventure this week. First stop, Yosemite National Park on Tuesday 9/1, followed by Kings Canyon National Park, and Sequoia National Park, California. That will put me up to 10 National Parks so far this year!!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Saturday night's scheduled 6:35 p.m. game between the Nashville Sounds and Memphis Redbirds at Greer Stadium has been postponed due to rain.
