Golden hour understood the assignment!

There’s about a two week window in Michigan where the trees look like this, the temperature is actually comfortable, and golden hour makes everything look unreal, then you blink and it’s 42 degrees and dark at 5 PM. 😂

So I need to settle something in the comments:
What’s the BEST thing about fall? 🍂

The weather? The colors? Apple c***r? Halloween? Football? Hoodies? Something else?

Golden hour understood the assignment!

Be honest: when was the last time you two got GOOD photos together that weren’t a selfie? 😂

Not a wedding photo, or a picture someone took of you at dinner, or a slightly blurry photo from somebody’s iPhone where one of you hates how you look.

Actual photos of the two of you together.

You don’t have to be engaged, you don’t need an anniversary coming up, and you definitely don’t need to know how to pose because I coach you through that!

Make a date out of it. Get dressed up, spend some time together, laugh a lot, kiss each other, probably make fun of each other at least once, and leave with photos you’re both excited to post, print, frame, and keep.

Because you probably have 4,000 pictures of your dog, your food, and random screenshots on your phone.

You can have some really good ones of you two, too. 😂

Fall couples photos are about so much more than getting one good picture for Facebook! It’s getting photos of the two of you while you’re in this chapter of your life together.

The way you look at each other right now. The way you laugh together. The way holding their hand feels completely ordinary today, but might be one of the little things you’re most thankful you captured years from now.

And Michigan gives us such a ridiculously beautiful backdrop for it. Golden sunsets, cooler evenings, fall colors, sweaters, flannels. It’s basically the one time of year where Michigan actually cooperates with romance. 😂

There’s something about fall that makes love stories feel a little more romantic. The warm light, the changing leaves, the cooler evenings, and an excuse to pull the person you love a little closer. 🍂

Fall couples sessions are officially here, and these are some of my favorite photos to create. Not because everything has to be perfectly posed, but because the best photos usually happen in between. The laughing, the forehead kisses, the way you naturally reach for each other, and those little moments that actually feel like you.
