Okay, technically Santa isn’t coming until November 😂 BUT 2026 Santa Sessions are officially launching tomorrow at 10 AM!!

I seriously cannot wait to do this all over again with you guys. The magic, the chaos, the belly laughs, the occasional Santa tears 😂 ALL OF IT!!!!

Okay I have a Confession…

Before I had kids, I thought cake smash sessions or kids trying cake for the first time was just kind of… unnecessary. 😂

Like, it’s just a baby eating cake.

But then I had my boys.

And all of them have cake smash photos.

Now they’re for sure some of my favorite pictures from that first year.

It’s funny because the cake is honestly the least important part. It’s getting to remember their little budding personalities at one. The messy fingers, the funny faces, the tiny teeth, the chubby little legs… all the things that change way too fast.

And The first birthday feels is such a huge milestone. Not just for your baby, but for you too. You survived the first year. And That definitely deserves to be celebrated.

So yeah I was really wrong about cake smashes, and I’m really glad I have those photos 🥹

used to be so good at social media. 😂 Every session got posted.

Now I have four kids, life is busy, and social media is always the first thing to fall off my list when my plate is full.

But this family…

I LOVED photographing them. Like… can I just photograph them every week? 😂

They reminded me, along with so many of my clients lately, that every time I put my art out into my little corner of the internet, the right people always seem to find me. The kind of families that make you leave a session thinking, “I hope I get to photograph them forever.”

So here I am trying to start posting regularly again. Starting with this sweet crew because I seriously adored every second with them. 🫶🏼

Tiny baby yawns and chunky cheeks lately and I am simply unwell about it 🥹

Little schedule/check in because somehow we’re already talking fall and winter babies over here —

Newborn sessions are currently booking through December, and if you’re due later this year I definitely recommend reaching out while pregnant so I can keep room around your due date 🫶🏼

Outdoor family sessions:
☀️ June — a few weekday evenings left
☀️ July — a few weekdays + one weekend opening

I also still have a few studio session openings next month if you’ve been wanting something cozy, simple, and air conditioned because Tennessee said survival mode already 😂

Looking through these made me realize one of the reasons why Fresh 48 sessions hit me so hard.

I have photos of my babies in the hospital… but almost none with all of us together. None of my big kids meeting their little brothers. Zero of my husband and I together in those first hours becoming parents again (minus a camera phone selfie). I figured me taking the photos myself would suffice.

You don’t realize what’s missing until years later. And by then those moments are long gone. 😩
