Yellow Umbrella Photography Fine art photography The name Yellow Umbrella Photography originated during a trip I took to Hong Kong.

On a boat journey, through one of the harbors, there was an spot I imagined was used for repairing small boats. In the midst of all of the clutter stood a frail looking man, sheltering himself from the hot sun, with an ordinary yellow umbrella. I knew if I was lucky enough to capture this moment, the yellow umbrella would serve as the centerpiece. As my passion for photography grew I could trace i

ts roots back to the excitement I felt when I knew I was able to capture this one moment in time, and to be able to share it with others. To me, that is what photography is about - capturing a special moment so that it can be shared with those who can appreciate its uniqueness.

Just came back from a trip to O’ahu celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary. Surprisingly we didn’t see many great sunsets except for 2 days. Really enjoyed watching the waves and surfers on the North Shore.
