✨reflecting✨

Today, I am reflecting on the cross. Remembering the agony, shame, hurt, and pain Christ endured on the cross.

Remembering the guards who gave him vinegar when he was thirsty & those that taunted him & gambled for his garments.

Remembering the moment God the Father could no longer look at His son, as the weight of sin was laid on Jesus shoulders.

Remembering the thieves on each side. The one who cursed him & the one who realized “I deserve this, Christ does not” the one who denied Christ. & the one who repented.

While I am remembering all of these moments, I’m brought to a place where I remember - & am at awe of Christ’s responses.

“Father, forgive them for they know not what they do”

“My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me”

“Today, thou shalt be with me in paradise”

& the ultimate words of grace and mercy

“It. Is. Finished.”

Praising The Good Lord for His gift. His sacrifice. His great love that he poured out on Calvary. For you & for me. ❤️
