It’s official: April Wolff Creative has arrived.

2024 was a reckoning. Life threw lemons, and I made some damn good lemonade.

Now I’m building something sharper, edgier, and unapologetically me.

Something with much less hustle and grind (I’m over that narrative, to be honest) and much more intentional and focused energy. This is how the magic is made.

Starting now, I’m working exclusively with past clients and referrals - because I’m here for the ones who get it. Every session will be an unapologetic celebration of your story, capturing the bold, main-character energy you were born to own.

Shoots will take place on-location or in curated day-rental studios, with two no-BS digital package options.

Persephone Rising: Chapter One

Every year, books a creative portrait session with me to celebrate her birthday. We’ve done some really cool things in the past, but nothing like we did this year.

During our planning call, we were throwing around different ideas for this year’s project but neither one of us were feeling like we were on the right path.

That is, until divine inspiration hit us both.

Somehow we started talking about the story of Persephone, Greek goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld.

This past year had been deeply transformational for both of us, in different ways, and we realized how important it was to pay homage to Persephone and her ability to move through the shadows of the darkest depths with light in our eyes and love in our hearts, knowing that we will see the beauty and abundance of the Spring again.

You’d think that once we decided on the theme, the hardest part would be done. But that was just the beginning.

I wanted to make sure that we weren’t doing a photo shoot that was too literal or cliché. I didn’t want a Greek goddess gown or a throne. I wanted to do a modern spin on the story of Persephone, taking lighting inspiration from some of my favorite fashion photographers for our “Spring” set…
