It’s true🥺 After 6 incredible years of serving the absolute best clients on the planet, I’m closing the doors to my photography business. (Read further for details on how to book ONE MORE SESSION with me until June.) This is a decision I am both mourning and rejoicing over. Mourning because it has been one of my greatest honors holding your secrets, your babies, fears, joys, sorrows and celebrations. Cheering you on in your vulnerable body image moments and delivering photos you never dreamed you could have.🤎 WHAT AN HONOR!

I’m also rejoicing because as a lot of you already know, my husband and I officially adopted our precious daughter in October of last year. She arrived as a medically fragile newborn in our home in September of 2023 and we fostered her until her precious birth mother asked us to officially adopt her last year. It’s hard to believe she will be two this summer but the reality is, she still has a lot of complex needs. My time has been a game of tug-of-war between trying to run a business and being a mama to my precious Laina Lou.

After an entire year of much prayer and discussion, my husband and I have decided it’s time to officially close the doors. So before that happens, I’m giving my precious clients one more chance to book with me for May & June. I only have a limited number of spots available and once they’re full I won’t be adding anymore.🥲 Link is below.

Merry Christmas my precious friends. Though I haven’t shared much of my work on socials this year, it has been an incredibly full year of serving each and every one of you amazing mamas who entrusted me as your photographer. It’s an honor and a privilege.🥹🤎

Our year as a family has been fuller than full as we officially adopted our beautiful daughter, Laina, the last day of October. So from my little family to yours, we pray for a “blessed beyond measure” end of your year and an even fuller 2025!

Something terrible happened during this session. It’s true, this precious family of 6 showed up dressed beautifully, excited for their photos and then suddenly their oldest daughter was stung by a wasp. Screaming, tears, fear, and even confusion from her brothers and sisters. A devastating way to begin photos.

But this session is forever seared in my mind for another reason. The way mom and dad reacted. I watched as mama swooped in to call the other kiddos and daddy scooped up his little girl and began reassuring her, teaching her why the wasp stung her and calming all her fears.

It wasn’t long until their entire family was cheering their brave sister on as they decided to continue with the sweetest family session at Nashville’s beautiful gardens.

Parents, never underestimate the power your reactions bring to your littles. You can calm their scariest moments just by tending to their little hearts.🤍

The way these two look at each other. 🥹 Would you believe me if I told you they were nervous about “posing?”

90% of people I photograph express their discomfort with being in front of the camera. And 100% of the time you would never know by looking at their photos. Why? Is it because they magically become comfortable once we start? Big nope. It’s because I’m super passionate about creating a stress-free environment for your session. That means:

•Clear direction on what we are doing
•Gentle prompts (not stiff posing)
•Talking and laughing through it
•Going at baby or kiddos pace
