what happens when the plan changes last minute on a wedding day?

a morning drizzle turned into an absolute downpour shortly before Ashley + Chris were supposed to walk down the aisle

after consulting with the planning team they ditched the backup rain plan and made the call to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony, passing out umbrellas, and inviting guests to watch from the windows if they wished. everyone showed up for the couple, gathering in ponchos and huddled under umbrellas, disguising tears as raindrops

it felt the way a wedding is supposed to feel - an outpouring of love and support, showing up no matter the circumstances

as the skies cleared, everyone was rewarded with a beautiful sunset and danced the night away. photographing under ponchos and slipping through the garden, each shot felt earned and this was a day I’ll remember for a long time ❤️

sending off a sweet summer, on film :,)

spent this summer outdoors, at shows, with friends - always observing + creating

a few fav mems
1. lil baby ducks at the lake, they were scampering around so cute on their new feet
2. a torrential downpour at tomato fest that felt like a movie scene, we took cover in a bar crowded with soaked, excited patrons while chaos was unfolding outside
3. a post bonnaroo dip, aka first proper cleansing in 4 days hah
4. sweet tomato cupcakes made by cass for a tomato themed backyard picnic!
5. sunset at roo 🥹
6. coming home with an assortment of local food to all our friends cozied up on the couch, this moment felt so warm

how do you create photos that feel meaningful?

engaged on a late summer day, abbey + noah planned to take photos in the flower field planted by a family friend. they incorporated unique details and chose styling that felt true to them

we took time to play in the sun and let them be themselves, taking the chance to be artistic and lean into the scenery

these photos feel like abbey + noah, a memento to look back on for years to come :,)
