Mr. three walked in completely naked—except for a pair of protective glasses.
He was in visible distress, holding out his hands as he cried, “I got hot glue on my fingers, but I was wearing my glasses!!”

💬 I’d love to hear your stories. Reply here or share in the comments—because these are the moments that shape us as parents just as much as they shape our kids.

Your family is messy. Your family is beautiful. Your family is enough.

✨ When I was a kid, summers stretched wide and free. We rode bikes until the streetlights came on. We built forts in the woods. No one knew where we were for hours—and that was considered normal.

Parenting today feels so different. Every choice—what we feed our kids, how they play, when they learn to read—feels under a spotlight. 👀

I’ve been told my son’s hair is too long. That he should wear shoes. That he shouldn’t spin in circles, climb a tree, or even sit “wrong” in a chair. One time, a stranger corrected him for perching on the arm of a chair at the bank.

It’s exhausting, this pressure to parent under constant watch.

But here’s what I’ve learned as a mom of three:
What’s on the surface rarely tells the full story.
A meltdown in the grocery store might be hunger or anxiety.
A child refusing shoes might be sensory overwhelm.

That gap—between what people assume and what’s really happening—is where my work lives.

I’m a photographer, but also a mom—just like you—learning to trust my kids enough to let them be fully themselves. With my camera, I capture the beauty in the messy, unposed, everyday reality of family life: the crumbs, the tears, the forts that collapse in five minutes.

Because it all matters. Because you matter. Not the flawless version—the real you. The parent who sometimes second-guesses, sometimes gets it wrong, and is also deeply, wholly enough.❤️ Schedule your call here and let’s get your family booked https://calendly.com/lucy-lucypagephotography/30min

When I met Tori she was excited to take this birth and make it hers! She didn't want to be in a hospital like she had with her first and she really wanted it documented. She said she had struggled to find a photographer that would work for what she was wanting. We chatted, we liked each other, and we made plans!

Before her birth I came and photographed her family pre-baby. Then when baby was ready we met at the birthing center and SHE HAD A BABY! She was strong and had such great support from her husband and mother-in-law.

Then after she had recovered for a minute I came back and photographer her family with this new addition.

In the end Tori got to have the birth that she had planned (although maybe next time she'll have a different plan!). I was so grateful to be invited to watch her family grow and to see the love that overflows inside their home.

one of the orphanages that OSSO helps support is one for people with higher needs who need support their whole life; because of this they never age out. There are a few people there who are just the life of the party. One of these guys is M. M has the goal to make sure all the volunteers know how to use a loom to make hats. Then his plan is for everyone to make hats, sell them, and donate the proceeds back to OSSO because he has so much fun meeting all the different volunteers that cycle through the program.
