We got blessed with not only a daylight train running down the beautiful Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, but a special office car excursion for some of the railroad staff. It was very cool seeing the newly revealed USA250 unit in it's bright red, white, and blue colors.

I got another chase checked off my bucket list this past week. I chased a passenger excursion by the Key Lock & Latern Organization from Carbondale PA to Steamtown, Scranton PA.

They made a stop at the Von Storch locomotive shops, picked up the recently restored Nickle Plate 190 Alco, and continued on to Steamtown where they stopped under Bridge 60 awaiting the appearance of a Steamtown elementary school excursion on its way back to Carbondale.

I then chased the Steamtown excursion back to Carbondale on my way home, dodging raised manholes, potholes, construction, water main repairs, one lane roads due to paving, and plenty of detours. It was definitely an adventure.
