I swear it’s always the unplanned, last minute pictures that turn out to be my favorites. I tried out new lashes today, and honestly, I hardly wear them anymore so I figured I would take advantage and have my daughter Gianna help me out with a new headshot. I was only 50% into it and thought if it didn’t work out, no biggie. But first, let me de-influence you. We sat on a messy bathroom floor. Piles of clothes in front of me. Messy sinks. Towels thrown to the side… this was not a studio, but it was a small little white wall that had the best light at the time. I gave her my camera and just said, “ok keep shooting”… and just like that, she created my new headshot.
But wait… it gets better.
I said, I wonder if I can get my hubby to take a quick pic of me and the kids… so in we went to the messy bathroom with wrinkled white shirts and jeans… Otto wore a backwards white swim shirt (to hide the design) because I didn’t have a white t-shirt for him… and honestly, I can’t believe how quickly this came together and how much I love what he captured… all because I didn’t want to waste a good lash day.
