Rutherford resident and photographer Shari Troast, 26, has called many cities home over her lifetime€’Philadelphia, Penn., Paramus, N.J., and now Rutherford. Troast snapped shots in each city for her ‘hand-writing’ project, discovering what ‘home’ meant to the subjects in her photos.

Hello friends! I am looking to re-visit my hand-writing series that I started a few years back, and I would love some volunteers!

The idea of the project is that you write one thing directly on your hand that you feel about the place that you live, and then we take the photo in front of a significant place (your home, someplace meaningful to you in your town, etc.).
