I've loved everything about being a photographer for the last 19 years but one of my absolute favorited things is watching my clients transform right Infront of my lens. I see them physically relax. I see their confidence grow. I see their inner strength. I hear stories of joy, sorrow, pain and survival. We laugh, and sometimes we cry. And we have an amazing journey together where we remember and discover what amazing, strong and beautiful creations we are.

Donna came to the studio with her bestie Copper. Here's what she had to say:

A week and a half ago we said good-bye to our beloved Sinclair. We are heartbroken - for 6 years (we got him when he was 10) we got to be part of his life, his antics and his BIG personality - he loved everyone. He's one of the most entertaining rescues I've had. We miss him terribly and the house feels so empty but we know that someday we will meet again - Fly High little man - we will always love you.

Where did this month go???

I apologize for being so absent lately - we've had quite the fall here at Reilynn-Siobhán Portrait.

We arrived in Naples just intime to experience hurricane Ian - while we were blessed to escape flooding the property lost several trees and the landscaping took a pretty hard it. Hurricane Ian also saw fit to claim my beloved van. Insurance had me covered but we had to come to Illinois to complete the paperwork and source a new vehicle. Our time was up at the cottage and there was literally no place to stay - so on very very short notice we headed to central Illinois.

Since our return I found a cute little Ford Transit Connect (small, but gets MUCH better gas milage).

We will be returning to Naples in March and look forward to meeting all our clients that have been so patient with rescheduling sessions.

I've come to realize that sometimes when things to go totally sideways the end result is often better than expected. ❤️
