No no… I don’t think I’m “the best.” 🥹
There are so many insanely talented photographers in this community of ours, and I’m just incredibly grateful to be recognized, thought of, and voted for.
I’ve worked in a lot of different industries. I did the whole 9 to 5 thing, working for other companies, and honestly… it killed my soul a little.
We work SO much in this country. We’re constantly running, trying to stay afloat, trying to keep up with the rat race. And I remember thinking, if what I do every day doesn’t fuel my soul, why am I giving so much of my life to it?
Every time I drove back down to Half Moon Bay, to see my family, through the Robin Williams Tunnel into San Francisco, I would hold my breath and make the same wish…
That someday I would have a job that fueled my creativity. That I would wake up loving what I do. That I would be surrounded by happiness.
Well… that dream came true. 💗
And I don’t take it for granted. I never will.
