A Little Studio Sickness Reminder 🤍
Life happens, and sometimes it happens quick! One minute your child is perfectly fine, and the next… boom. Fever, cough, vomiting, runny nose.
Please know that I reserve a ton of grace for situations like this. I completely understand that sickness is unpredictable, and I am probably one of the easiest people to approach when you need to reschedule because someone isn't feeling well. I will always do my best to work with you to find another date that works!
But I also want to explain why I have a sickness policy in place, because it goes beyond simply “I don't want to get sick.”
I have babies in my studio almost every day, including brand-new babies with fragile, developing immune systems. Every cough and sneeze can send tiny droplets onto hands, props, furniture, toys, and other surfaces throughout the studio. I work very hard to keep my space clean and to reduce the potential for illness to be passed from one client to another.
So if you are sick, or your child is sick, please, please reach out and reschedule.
I would much rather receive a last-minute message saying, “Hey, we woke up sick,” than have you feel like you need to keep your appointment anyway. I understand. I promise!
It also puts me in a difficult position when I have to address obvious illness once a family has already arrived at the studio. Please help me avoid having to make that uncomfortable call at the door.
There is absolutely no shame or frustration from me when illness happens. Just communicate with me, and we will find another day!
