I’m excited (and a little emotional) to share that Emma’s Eyes Photography is officially becoming Salt + Soul Portraits 🧂🤍

When I first started Emma’s Eyes, the name was meant to reflect the idea of seeing the world the way I see it through my photos. Over time, I realized it never quite translated the way I hoped — and more importantly, it no longer felt true to where I am now.

This business began during a very specific season of my life: early motherhood, a global pandemic, and days that felt full of chaos, survival, and observation. Back then, I was often watching life unfold from the sidelines, documenting moments as best I could while everything felt fast and overwhelming.

Now, life feels different. Slower. Fuller. More grounded. I feel less like an observer and more like a participant — soaking in the moments, the connections, and the love that make up our everyday lives. I wanted my business name to reflect that season.

Salt + Soul Portraits represents everything I value now:
✨ the moments that season our lives
✨ the connections that live in our hearts
✨ and the belief that love is the main ingredient in every story worth telling

And for those who love a good little Easter egg — the name is also inspired by my own fur crew: Salt, Vinegar, and Pepper, who remind me daily that life is best with a little flavor 🐾

Same photographer. Same heart. Just a name that finally feels like home.
