Apparently being a photographer in 2026 also means being a part-time content creator. 😂📸

Do I want to be an influencer? Absolutely not.
Do I want the algorithm to magically put my work in front of families who need a photographer? Absolutely YES. 😂

So here I am… making another Reel, awkwardly participating in social media, and hoping it lands on the feed of someone thinking:

“Okayyyy… I NEED her to take our photos.” 🔥

Because THIS is what I actually want to do:

The older I get, the more I realize something…

It isn’t the perfectly planned vacations.
It isn’t the expensive dinners.
It isn’t even where we were.

It’s the little moments.

The slow boat rides.
The laughter that echoed across the water.
The way someone reached for your hand without thinking.
The golden light dancing across the waves.

Those are the moments that quietly become the ones we miss the most.

That’s why I became a photographer.

Because years from now, your children won’t remember every detail of the trip… but they’ll have photographs that bring them right back to the feeling.

🤍 A Little Life Update…

For those who have reached out recently, I wanted to let you know that I am currently out of state with my family as we eagerly await the arrival of my sweet niece. This is such a special, once-in-a-lifetime moment for our family, and I’m doing my best to be fully present and soak in every second.

If you’ve sent a text, called, emailed, or messaged me on social media, please know that I have not forgotten about you. Every client, every family, every question, and every message means so much to me, and I truly appreciate your patience.

I will begin responding to all texts, phone calls, emails, comments, and messages as soon as I’m back in town after August 18th. Thank you for allowing me this time to celebrate with my family while welcoming our newest little blessing into the world.

Photography allows me the privilege of preserving life’s most precious moments for others. Right now, I’m taking the opportunity to be fully present for one of my own.

Thank you for your understanding, your kindness, and your continued support of my small business. It truly means more than you know.

Where are my Elder Millenials at:
• Currently 37-44
• Do not feel "old"
• Survived dial-up internet, 3 layers of lace camis, cut-off jean waistbands, and tanning beds
• Remembers every song lyric from 1998 but can't remember why we walked into the kitchen
• Does not hesitate to get gangsta when necessary
• Raised on TGIF and Oregon Trail
• Runs on coffee, ibuprofen, anxiety, and ambition
• Have zero effs left to give
• Slightly unhinged but still unstoppable

July… what a beautiful, busy, unforgettable month. 🤍

As a photographer, it’s easy to spend so much time behind the camera documenting everyone else’s memories that I sometimes forget to step in front of it and make a few of my own.

This month gave me both.

I had the privilege of photographing so many incredible families, chasing sunsets, watching little ones laugh, documenting milestones, and freezing moments that will never happen again. Every family that chose me to tell their story reminded me why I picked up a camera all those years ago.

But July also reminded me that my greatest memories are the ones I make with my own family.

Between football practices, beach days, late-night ice cream runs, laughter around the dinner table, and soaking up every minute with my boys, I was reminded that time truly is our greatest gift. Watching my youngest son continue to grow into such an amazing little boy while seeing my older boys becoming incredible young men makes me realize just how quickly these seasons of life pass.

As photographers, we know better than anyone that moments don’t last forever… and that’s exactly why we capture them.

So thank you.

Thank you to every family who welcomed me into your lives.
Thank you for trusting me with your babies, your milestones, your love stories, and your laughter.
Thank you for supporting my small business, sharing my work, recommending me to your friends, and allowing me to do what I love every single day.

Because of you, I get to build a life where I can preserve your memories while making beautiful ones with my own family too.

Here’s to another month of sunsets, sandy feet, genuine smiles, and moments we’ll all be grateful we never let slip away.

There are some moments in life that mean so much, they make you willing to hop on a plane without a second thought. ❤️✈️

As many of you know, I’m a newborn photographer based in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Every year I’m blessed to preserve the very first days of so many precious little lives. But this week… it’s personal.

My sweet niece is about to make her grand entrance into the world in New York, and I cannot even begin to explain how excited our family is. The countdown is officially on, and as soon as she decides she’s ready, I’ll be boarding a plane to meet her.

Not only do I get the incredible honor of becoming an aunt, but I’ve also been trusted with one of the greatest gifts I could ever receive—to capture her very first portraits.

As a newborn photographer, I know these tiny moments disappear in the blink of an eye. The flaky little toes, the sleepy stretches, the tiny fingers wrapped around yours… they’re only this little once. Knowing I’ll be the one preserving those memories for my brother’s new growing family is something I’ll cherish forever.

Baby girl, you are already so deeply loved. We have been waiting, praying, dreaming, and counting down the days until we get to hold you in our arms.

I can’t wait to kiss your sweet cheeks, breathe in that brand-new baby smell, spoil you rotten, and create photographs that you’ll look back on for the rest of your life.

Hurry up, little one… your Aunt Amanda is packed, camera in hand, and ready to meet you. 💕📸
