A few pics of a male Prothonotary Warbler and a male & female Ebony Jewelwings who belong to the dragonfly species. The female has the white spots. I visited the Beidler Forest Sanctuary on 5/27 and the staff was great and the park is wonderful. But due to the drought in are state, the critters were not to active. Will go back in the fall for owl pics. 😊💯

Took 2 extra days off & visited a local reserve that is about 60 minutes away. I survived the relentless attack of mosquitos & biting black fly's to capture these wildflowers, butterflies & a history lesson. Tomorrow brings another adventure.👍
1: Field of Golden waves wildflowers. 2: A Palamedes butterfly in a wild thistle. 3: A Spicebush Swallowtail on a thistle & my 1st sighting of one! 4: A planation ruins from a family called Motte. The wife Rebecca was a heroine during the Revolutionary War & her brother -in-law Lt. Colonel Motte was a hero at the battel of Sullivan's Island in June of 1776! It was a great day of learning and exploring. 😊💯👍

What a special morning it turned out today. It was kind of slow but in about 10 minutes this happened along with other pictures that I will post later. Mom was close, but it was a blessing for me & my friend Marty to get a few pics and let visitors know about it so they too could enjoy this rare moment along the causeway.
