“Mom where were you?”
As a photographer, it’s no surprise that I’m the one taking photos or our family. But when my son asked me where I was while we were looking through old photos .. I realized I’m not IN the photos as much as I should be.
Something that I love so much about being a photographer is being able to see so many special moments happen. Document raw emotions. But also, preserve memories. As moms, we take photos so that we never forget. Because time goes so quickly. We blink and our babies are riding big kid bikes and waving from the bus window. We don’t want to think about the time passing by, but it will. I have to remember that as much as photos are for us now, they will be for our little ones later - and our kids should see mom and how much she loves them in the photos too 🤍🫶
