My first camera was a little film spy camera disguised in a Good & Plenty box when I was four. Due to my short stature at the time, my parents ended up wasting hundreds of dollars to fuel my budding passion in developing nothing but shots of butts. These days anyone can go out and purchase a camera but in order to take a truly great photo I believe you have to feel relaxed and comfortable. Unless

you are used to having your picture taken, having the “spotlight” on you can be a vulnerable and sometimes nerve wracking experience. As a member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) since 2005, I’ve been featured in dozens of print ads and commercials for well-known companies such as Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola, Hewlett Packard, Ford Motor Company, and Autotrader.com as both a model and actor with speaking roles in Real Steal (Twin Cities Corner Tech) starring Hugh Jackman and the remake of Red Dawn (Korean Delegate) with Chris Hemsworth. I’ve taken my years of experience in front of a camera and merged it with my passion for capturing timeless images to bring you Yikmun Photography. I pride myself on making you feel at ease within minutes of meeting me and having the timing and expertise of my equipment in capturing the perfect shot at precisely the right moment. My birth name is Yu Yik Man. However, it's pronounced "Yick-MUHn" so I didn't want Americans butchering the pronunciation of my name. Besides, I think it adds a little mystery. "I've heard great things about this Yiddish Jewish photographer who only goes by Yikmun..." Uh, nope. I'm the Asian guy.
