A little about myself:

I love people and I am outside any chance that I get. I'm always up for trying something new in photography and life! I love to learn and also teach and most of all, I crave life and documenting it. I am very organized when I can be but can swing by the seat of my pants at any time. What you should expect:

I put everything I have into each and every shoot; I am going to do

my very best, to capture you at your very best. I excel in my field and want you to walk away absolutely stoked. This is my career, my passion and I take each role as your photographer very seriously. I will go the extra mile to make an image and will spend time planning and making sure we are able to make the best out of any situation. I am always prepared for the best and the worst and at the end of the day it will be an adventure. I like to have my sessions be a team effort, so we can work together to have fun and make it easy going! What ever it takes, I want to satisfy everything you are looking to capture, and more! A few words to describe my photography: journalistic, real, candid, emotion, natural. Evey and Brent are two very caring individuals with big hearts and I loved being a part of their special day!! I thought it was so sweet how each bridesmaid and mom had a part in buttoning up Evey’s dress. How both Evey and Brent carried with them meaningful pieces in memory of the people who brought them to this point in their life. Everything they did was with intention. We braved the cold and got away with standing in the middle of the street downtown Detroit, barely missing the Q line as it passed by (twice). During their ceremony Evey and Brent mixed together an old fashioned with ingredients symbolizing what it takes to make a long lasting marriage. Which was only fitting as both their ceremony and reception was held at the Whiskey Factory. Both their parents stood up beside them as they got blessed and the dancing later in the evening went a little rogue. What an amazing day it was celebrating your love!!

As soon as I arrived at Something Blue Berry Wedding Barn, I new it was going to be the best day. There were horses grazing, chickens out and about and PUPPIES. What made it even better were the people. Kelsey is the sweetest human and Zach loves deep. They have two beautiful little girls together and it was so wonderful to watch their close-knit group of family and friends care so much about these four. The sweet moments of Kelsey with her mom and daughters before the ceremony, Kelsey’s cowgirl boots, their intimate ceremony in the woods, their energetic crew of friends, cheersing with wine in the bed of a truck, the glowing sun set over the pasture, the surprise proposal and dancing the night away under the stars. What a day.

Jack is turning 1 so his mamma wanted to do a lumberjack theme for him. How freaking cute is that?! He’s a happy baby, loving everything his older sister is doing, crawling and wanting to eat everything in sight. Breanne reminded me that it was about 4 years ago that I photographed his older sister Grace’s first Christmas pictures and I can’t believe it has already been that long. I love these babes and their parents. They have created a beautiful life together and I’m so lucky to be a part of capturing moments in time for them. Excited for the future!

I love date nights, distilleries, exploring the city of Detroit and even more so, doing it with these two kind souls. Evey and Brent were up for everything and did it with a smile, even while Brent faced his fear of heights. As long as he was holding onto his babe and she wasn’t leaning over the edge, he seemed to even enjoy himself up there. We had the best views all day; from the rooftop, to the people mover and lastly ending with the city skyline on Belle Isle. I can’t wait to watch you two become husband and wife with your closest loved ones in less than four months!

After 9 years of dating, Elizabeth and Kyle married one another on the campus of Michigan State University where they both went to school. So much of the day was well thought out and a lot of intentional detail went into it as well as a few surprises that not even Liz and Kyle new about. Midway during their ceremony, Liz’s dad surprised everyone with a flash mob acapella style. It was the band that would appear later in the evening and they were spread out throughout the guests in the pews. Everyone was blown away and it was a moment you had to pinch yourself, wondering is this really happening?! It was the coolest thing. On our way to the reception we made a few stops down memory lane hitting up P.T. O’Malley’s with a 40 person party bus and the houses Liz and Kyle lived in back in the day. I loved how during their first dances and even their entrance they were surrounded by their family and friends on the dance floor. The band was incredibly talented and all in all it was a great day. I’m so happy for you Mr. and Mrs. Miller and I wish you both the absolute best life together.

After one of the first pictures we made I was jumping up and down inside and probably outside too. David and Alexandra are so comfortable with each other, their most vibrant selves were glowing. They met at a work party just a year ago. David invited Alexandra to sit next to him and they instantly hit it off. Their goofy, weird, zestful, fiery, lovable souls are in-sync and it’s very visible. We met at the Dow Gardens in Midland where they went on their first getaway together. Alexandra’s mom is also a master gardener which made the location even more special. To tie it in even more, they will be getting married in the church her mom designed the gardens for which I can’t wait to incorporate them. We danced in the rain, were kids at heart and explored the park. You must check out Alexandra’s ring, they designed it themselves and it’s to die for. I’m so happy our paths have crossed and I can’t wait to celebrate you both at your wedding next year! Enjoy every moment of being each other’s fiancé.

So much emotion, heart, and love went into this wedding, as most weddings but what made Lauren and Will’s exceptionally unique was Will was just as much involved in the planning as Lauren. He referred himself to a Groomzilla and I loved him for it. He wanted everything to be perfect for them and it was. They chose to do a first touch that had Will wanting to jump around the corner and see his bride but withheld until the ceremony and when that moment happened, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. We made a pit stop to see their fur babies, so many dance moves that I’ve never seen before had been released on the dance floor and the rest you have to see for yourselves.

I first met Rachelle and Ryan when they were engaged three years ago, I instantly became obsessed with them, their personalities and their outlook on life. I watched their love grow even stronger as they became husband and wife, through their pregnancy and after giving birth to a perfect boy. I seriously want to eat him up, how can you not with those cheeks!!! It’s the coolest feeling in the world to be able to capture these moments for them. They are incredible people, incredible spouses, incredible parents and incredible friends. I look forward to the many other moments that will be shared together. I love you guys!

Shelby and most of her extended family grew up vacationing in Lewiston. It's where they hold fond memories together at family cottages, out on the water and surrounded by nature. As an avid hunter, Mike shares the same love for the outdoors. The Manor at Fire Tower Hill couldn't have been a better setting for these two to celebrate their marriage. It encompassed everything you desire when you're up north and breathtaking views on top of it. Everyone was feeling the love. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Goodsell!

What an incredibly perfect day Megan and Branden had. These two were more than ready to marry each other and celebrate with all the people who had an impact on their relationship over the years. They are high school sweethearts and couldn't be a better match. The love runs deep in this group and I always enjoy being a part of it. Megan is one of my really good friends and it was such an honor to capture their day. I will always hold a special place in my heart for these two. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Oakes!!!

When I celebrate your engagement, we see what we can get away with; because why not?! It’s an exciting part of your life and most people want to ride that high and be a part of celebrating it with you. So let’s make it special. If it gets you to the top of a building, the best seat in the house or a free pretend ride on a vespa, than let’s do it! I could walk the streets of Detroit with Jill and Ryan any day. They are so easy going, genuinely happy and not to mention they live right downtown. They took me to some of their favorite spots including the place that makes them feel most themselves, Eastern Market. Almost every Wednesday for trivia night they head to the brewery with friends. As soon as we pulled up you could see Jill’s face lite up as she took a big breath of air. I had so much fun with you two and I wish you both the absolute best!!
