So, my trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan was a bust as far as Fall Photography goes. We were less than a week too late. I knew I was in trouble when The Cut River trees were already just branches at the top. Also, the area we camped at, Manistique, is more evergreens than Maples and other hardwoods. Yet, we had a great time visiting other areas I haven’t seen since I was a kid like Fayette. The wind kept my drone grounded accept for a couple days and a trip to Pictured Rocks was a bust due to congestion, yet Cathy and I had a great time with friends and I have to say this was my favorite trip of the year.
I’ve included one of my favorite photos of the UP many of you may not have seen. Lake of the Clouds at sunrise in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Parks. It’s my dream to one day capture this same photo in full fall colors.
