Day 5 of 100.

Joshua surprised Audrey at Helton Creek Falls.
I got to be there to capture it. Once the secret was out, we just wandered around the falls, laughed, and let them enjoy being engaged.
Honestly, those moments right after the proposal are some of my favorites. Nothing planned, just the two of them taking it all in.

Day 4 of 100.

An engagement session in the mountains just feels easy.

For Kristin & Paul, we spent the day at Horns of the God and Wayah Bald Tower, walking around, taking in the views, and enjoying some time together.
Wayah is one of those places where you can really feel the elevation. The views are wide open, the air is cooler, and there’s a little more quiet than you get down below. We kept things simple and let the session unfold as we went: a little walking, a lot of talking and laughing, and plenty of time to stop and take in the view.
I loved getting to spend the day with these two. If you’re dreaming up an engagement session of your own, I’d love to hear what you have in mind.

Day 3 of 100.

A mountain elopement doesn’t always have to mean chasing a big view.
Sometimes it’s a magical little cabin tucked away in the woods, with a creek running right through the property. A waterfall nearby. Bare feet, slow mornings, and nowhere you have to rush off to.

Nicolette and Casey eloped here in Dahlonega, Georgia, and their day unfolded exactly like that. They wandered down to the water, explored the woods, stopped when the light came through the trees, and let the day happen naturally.
That’s one of the things I love about places like this in North Georgia.

You don’t have to go far to make it feel like an adventure. Sometimes your whole wedding day can unfold right outside your cabin door.

Why I became a wedding photographer.

Before I was behind the camera, I spent a little time in front of it, and it taught me exactly what kind of photographer I wanted to be: the one who makes it feel easy. My couples don’t need to know how to pose.

Real Wedding Recap: Sarah & Anderson

Ending the month by sharing a little glimpse of Maddie & Brenna’s beautiful day at Laurel Falls. Their love, the mountains, and the peaceful beauty of this location made for such a special celebration.
