Bowling Green, Kentucky

North American SNJ No. 85

I photographed this SNJ during a CAF - Music City Wing flying day in Bowling Green, Kentucky, tracking the aircraft at a deliberately slow shutter speed to retain motion in both the propeller and background. I wanted the airplane itself to remain defined while everything around it communicated that it was moving rather than simply hanging in the frame.

The photograph is part of my ongoing work with Storied Aviation, telling the story of aviation through its aircraft, history, and people.

Cumberland Mountain State Park, Tennessee

The bridge was built in the 1930s by the CCC, as were many of the other buildings and structures in the park. Photo was taken on a Canon 90D with a Canon 18-135 STM lens.

Historical Murfreesboro, TN

This was taken during a Sepia Murfreesboro Photography Group meet. We walked around historical Murfreesboro, TN. This is one of the houses that I absolutely love the architecture. It was built in 1856 and survived the Civil War intact and a tornado.
