When came to me with the idea of starting this campaign I immediately said yes.

There was no questions for me.

The ‘Fashion is this’ campaign ties all of my passions together in one.

-Fashion
-Branding
-Pushing media boundaries beyond their norm

After all fashion is for every body.

So meet Maddie!

She is the first of many, and deserves a round of applause for putting up with our crazy so early in the morning!

She came in with a beautiful but apprehensive smile, and quickly became comfortable and giggly! She lit up anytime a song came on, and left knowing she was made for this!

Maddie we couldn’t have asked for a better start to this amazing project, and we are forever grateful you allowed us to share you with the world!!!!

Senior Sunday hits a little different today.

I’ve been sitting on these for a few weeks because I wasn’t ready to post.

Posting seems to make it more real 😩

We did a mini skate session before going shopping for his senior photos.

I lasted one click.

In just that macro second I saw how quickly the last 17 years have flown by.

I swallowed real freaking hard, because I knew if I didn’t reset and refocus it would be over.

As I sat there watching this kid joyful show me his skateboard skills pressing the shutter button, I felt an overwhelming bittersweet emotion wash over me.

I dreamed of the day where I would get to watch this chapter unfold.

I dreamed of who he would be in this very moment.

Now that we are here I am filled with excitement, nerves, somberness, peace, but most of all pride.

you have become more than I could have ever dreamed.

A beautiful mix of wit, and heart.

A strong willed soul.
You had master negotiation skills from the beginning with the most beautiful desire for equality.
A knack for being the friend to bring different groups together.
A gift of being the comedian, and the therapist.

You have stepped into some of the most challenging chapters, and have walked through them with the typical Braylon “well did you think it would be hard for me” attitude.

Being your mom has been one of the greatest gifts, titles, and jobs I have ever been given.

I’m still processing this one.

The child that walked into my life on day one with a deep soul.

24 hours later, it felt like he had always been there.

It is absolutely a blessing to capture the end of this chapter.

One we all know is just the beginning of making all of his wildest dreams come true in the next.

Yesterday, I cried the WHOLE time while editing.

Not because I’m sad,
but because I am grateful that his determination lies beyond the chapters that he’s been through.
Because his love, his passion, his heart can be seen through his eyes.
Because the boy I began to learn four years ago, is absolutely a young man.

Deonte, it may be cliche to say the sky is the limit, so for you I will say the beyond is.

I pray this next chapter brings you joy, unwavering confidence that you have a seat at all tables, and many more true smiles that light up all of our dark rooms!

it would not be defined by the amount of weights on the bar.
it would not equate to the amount of success one may acquire.
it may be associated with endurance, but not the type that wins gold medals.

Resilience.
Adaptability.
Kindness.
Empathy.
Perseverance.
Prudence.

From the beginning of my photography career, I have been drawn to photographing women in all chapters.

Through the good chapters, the tough chapters, the chapter we have chosen, and the chapters that have chosen us…

So here’s to this woman.
One whose story reminded me that women are the definition of strength, and the love that this world needs so dearly right now.

This day.

It was one of the most challenging, yet beautiful days I have ever witnessed.

One that was simple yet complex.
One that was surrounded by grief yet the most encompassing love I have ever seen through my lens.
One that was absolutely poetic without any words necessary.

A day I will never forget.
One I am quite honored to be a part of.

Today is going to be a highlight day of bad asses apparently…

This publication is finally out, and they could not have picked a more deserving surgeon to feature!

I’ll never forget working with in the OR when she first started. She wasn’t scared of the new technologies, excited for the advancements that were on the horizon, and absolutely passionate about growth.

As her patient, I have had the pleasure of a doctor who not only spends the time with you, but listens.

As her coworker, I was honored to work along side of her.

As her friend, I hope she realizes every single day even in a glimmer that she is just what the medical field needs.

Can we please all just pause and admire for a sec!!!

When Aaron and I started messaging about his golden birthday, I knew INSTANTLY that we were about to be besties forever!

Being a part of his journey is truly an honor!

The last slide is personally my fave, and to be honest anyone who knows him should not be offended because it’s just the truth!

may this next chapter blow any dreams out of the water friend! May you be reminded daily what you are doing for others is transformative, inspiring, and life changing.

But even more so, may you always remember just how much this world needs your amazing energy friend!
